How PCS Legal gets detailed client reports out faster with Orbital Residential
PCS Legal is using Orbital Residential to get detailed client reports out faster, while keeping conveyancers in control with a valuable second set of eyes.

PCS Legal has been operating since 2006 and is an established firm of Licensed Conveyancers and Probate Practitioners regulated by the Council for Licensed Conveyancers. In 2026, its team was named Conveyancing Team of the Year at the inaugural Conveyancing Awards, where judges highlighted the firm’s operational performance, client experience and approach to innovation.
For PCS Legal, the value of technology isn’t in taking professional judgement out of conveyancing. It’s in giving conveyancers a stronger starting point. By using Orbital Residential for enquiries and client reporting, the team is getting detailed reports to clients sooner while continuing to review and verify the work themselves.
Keeping casework moving
For Conveyancing Manager Shoaib Munsaf, one of the biggest challenges in the residential conveyancing workflow is managing the concentration of work that comes with raising enquiries and getting client reports out on a case, without that work disrupting progress elsewhere.
That made the parts of Orbital Residential dealing with enquiries and reporting particularly relevant, bringing document review, risk flagging, draft enquiries, and client reporting into the same workflow, with outputs available for the conveyancer to review.
Shoaib points to the speed of getting that initial work underway as a clear benefit. He says enquiries can be raised “almost instantaneously”, with reports auto-generated, which can help move his cases forward more quickly.
For Megan Hunt, Licensed Conveyancer and Rayleigh Practice Manager, Orbital Residential’s Report on Title has been particularly useful.
“The report on title saves time and is very detailed for the client compared to reports previously used.”
The benefit isn’t just that a report has been generated. It gives the conveyancer a detailed starting point that can then be checked, amended where necessary and sent to the client.
A second set of eyes, not a substitute for judgement
For Shoaib, Orbital Residential provides a useful reference point alongside his own review:
“I still always double check the enquiries, but Orbital deals with most of them. It’s really helpful to cross-reference what’s been raised and what hasn’t.”
Megan describes the role in similar terms:
“I still carry out my own checks but Orbital is handy to use as a second set of eyes.”
That distinction is key. Orbital Residential is designed to support the document-heavy parts of title review and make its findings verifiable, rather than replace the advice and decisions of the conveyancer.
For Shoaib, it’s also useful when junior colleagues encounter points they’re less certain about. He says
“It picks up any enquiries they are unsure of and gives them a tool to rely on rather than raising any of those enquiries with me”
This is a practical example of how our technology fits around their team: providing another reference point while leaving responsibility for the file with the conveyancer.
Getting clearer information to clients sooner
Client reporting is where both Shoaib and Megan describe some of the clearest day-to-day benefits.
Shoaib says reports are going out to clients “much faster”, while the mortgage and search reports break information down simply and are, in his view, self-explanatory for the client.
Megan has seen the same improvement in turnaround:
“It is quicker to get a report out to the client when it has been generated through Orbital Residential and means the client does not have to wait as long to receive it.”
She also sees value in the amount of information contained in the report. Her expectation is that covering more of the relevant detail upfront may help answer some client questions before they become follow-up calls or emails.
For PCS Legal, the story isn’t one of handing the conveyancing process over to technology, it’s more straightforward than that. Orbital Residential gives its conveyancers a quicker starting point for enquiries and detailed client reporting, while the team continues to apply its own checks and professional judgement.
As Megan puts it, it’s there as a “second set of eyes” - supporting the conveyancer rather than replacing them.
Just three months into the partnership, PCS Legal is already seeing clear benefits from Orbital Residential. We’re looking forward to building on that early progress together.
